What Happens In Vegas...

Don't have much to say, so I'll say what I'm thinking::::

In ONE WEEK I take my Organic Chemistry final!!!!
I have about an 87 in the class right now, so that's extremely encouraging.

CASPA (The online PA application) has officially opened, which means that I can officially start my application, which means I am officially freaking out!

In TWO WEEKS I get to go on a cruise with my mother!
For 2 whole weeks I get to read whatever I want, and not a textbook!! Woohoo!

I get to go home this weekend on Saturday to watch Kim, my future sister-in-law, try on wedding dresses!!
This is the front-runner. Gorgeous.

On Sunday, I get to spend the entire evening and night with Mary and we're going to eat at Too Jay's and watch Sherlock Holmes and talk and I just am so excited. I love Mary!

Did I mention I get to go Vegas in June?! I've never been, but can't wait.

Up, Up, and Away.

The title of this post has NOTHING to do with anything, I just couldn't think of a title, and it popped into my head :)

I took a risk tonight. I'm not sure if I regret it yet or not.  It was probably a mistake, and NONE of my business. I have a very dear friend and I feel he's being taken advantage of, and I let him know.

Honestly was definitely always my thing. Some people love it. Some people hate it. But I am very honest with everyone.  Sometimes too honest, my brain-mouth filter doesn't always work.

I actually thought about this decision though, as it was bothering me for a few days before I actually decided to go ahead with it.  It could potentially change a few relationships, including mine with the person.  I do hope that he realizes that it was out of love -- out of friendship.  It was my opinion.

Only time will tell.

Spring Break!

I don't actually get a spring break, because my school isn't like most schools, but it's okay. I had a FANTASTIC weekend. It included the beach, Elise, Mary, Ryan, Alexa, Mark, Kate, my mom, shopping, and a brand new pair of beautiful Sperry's!

On Friday night, I went to Elise's house and spent the evening and night with her. It was just like when we were kids, except for playing with Barbie's, we talked for hours. It was splendid.

On Saturday, I took Katelynn (my niece) to the park after visiting my brother, Mark, for a while.  At the park, it was TWINS AND TRIPLETS Day. OMGOSH. Seriously though. It was like some club of baby twins and triplets celebrating Easter. I've never seen to many in my life, and I don't want to ever again.  Katelynn had fun, and got to see the Easter bunny.
Alexa, Kate, and I went to the mall after the park. We ate at California Pizza Kitchen (YUM!) and then shopped for a bit, but we didn't get anything. It was fun nonetheless.  I then went shopping by myself and later that night I got to eat dinner with a great friend, Ryan. It was extremely pleasant.  He's always easy to talk to.

Then on Sunday, Mary and I went to the beach!!!!
I LOVE Mary :)
My parents came home from California on Sunday night/Monday morning. So, my mom and I and Kate went to the mall. I NEVER EVER buy things for myself, I just don't (unless it's food, I buy too much of that lol) but I decided that I wanted to get myself a pair of Sperry's. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sperry's. I wear mine daily and they are the most fantastic pair of shoes in the whole wide world. So, I got a pair of performance Sperry's. Basically tennis shoes that I can get wet and do all this out-doorsy stuff in. I plan to do lots of that this summer. Here's a picture of my beautiful new shoes. (Sperrytopsider.com)
I am so excited!!! That was my spring break.

Wedding

I went to a BEAUTIFUL wedding this weekend in Orlando. It was a very memorable weekend and I am glad to have shared the day with them.   I also got to see my friend, Courtney, which I was just absolutely thrilled about. I saw some friends had I hadn't seen in a while (and even got to sit with them for a bit), which was very pleasant. I love catching up.

Tyler and I drove down on Friday afternoon and got to have dinner with Ben (my brother) and my parents that evening -- I L-o-V-e my mom's cooking! Then we just chilled for the evening. I didn't sleep well AT ALL that night though. My niece, Kate, stayed with us and about 1 in the morning, she woke up scared due to Tyler's very, very loud text message that is Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka screaming something (I still couldn't figure it out)...The text message went off every like 9 minutes ALL NIGHT LONG. (Tyler is NOT a light sleeper and didn't hear it...) So, dark and scared, my niece wanted to sleep in my bed with me. Let me tell you right now, 2-yr olds have absolutely no sense of personal space whatsoever, especially when sleeping. So, I didn't sleep. But I did wake up to Blueberry muffins :)

The next morning, we went out to an early lunch. It was early because we had the wedding to get to, and my parents had to leave because my brother was running a marathon the next morning and they went to stay with him. It was his first (and last, according to him) marathon.

After the wedding, we drove back home.  It was a very pleasant car ride and Tyler and I had some very good conversation.  AND we got to eat Pizza Hut for dinner (which I haven't had since we broke up because I feel like it'd be a waste ordering the pizza for just me..) He drove the whole way, which was VERY sweet of him. I don't think I could've driven though, I was SO exhausted (and I hate driving, which he knows).  I came home and slept very well :)

*Insert a Title*

How honest should I be?
I've discovered about myself that I rarely honest with myself about things that I don't want to face. I just tend to ignore them, push them aside, tell myself I'll deal with it later.. But then the night comes and I have nothing to distract me. It's just me. It leaves me to deal with it and thus leaves me awake when I should be sleeping.

It drives me crazy.

I'm finding myself torn and dealing with these emotions that I didn't think I would have. I don't know what to do about them so I just don't do anything. Healthy? I think not.

I am going to dinner with a good friend tomorrow and that'll probably help. She is an amazing person that really understands me and if she doesn't just lets me vent until I feel better anyways. She is the only one who I can really go to (other than my mom) and really give me fantastic advice. I can't wait. I hate that we live in different cities.. I need help dealing with this silly out-of-nowhere emotions and she's the one to do that. Thank goodness for her. She's a blessing, for sure.

3 years

It's been 3 years yesterday since the death of a very special friend of mine named Anderson P. Maxey. He was 17 years old.

I stayed up late last night not being able to sleep and thinking to myself "Wow, that was 3 whole years ago..." I've gone through a senior year of high school and finished my first 2 years of college, all that he missed.

Alot has changed since he died. A group of friends that was once rock solid slowly diminished until we all went our separate ways -- he was our common bond.

Everything happens for a reason. I am still sad when I think about what used to be and what no longer is, but I know that it happened for a reason. The reason may not be visible to me, but he could have spiritually saved someone's life though his physical death.

God makes everything happen for a reason -- even though sometimes it seems tragic.

Marriage

A good friend recently got engaged -- a friend I've known for my whole life and is a year younger than me... making her 19.
Don't get me wrong, I'm super happy that she's happy and her ring is just absolutely STUNNING, and really who am I to judge someone else's relationship, I just have some mixed feelings about it.

Here are a few things I think should be in order for 2 people to get married::
(not judging any one couple, just from watching A LOT of silly high school friends go through it)

1. HAVE MONEY -- I'm not saying you need to be rich or anything, but enough to support yourself and your significant other. I completely understand unfortunate situations (like loss of employment) where help might be needed, but if you aren't married and don't have a job, save up for a while. A job at Subway or McDonalds probably won't support you AND someone else...

2. Date for more than a year (or 2) -- Those first months feelings are fantastic, but you need to see EVERY side of the potential person you'll be spending the rest of your life with -- not just the "we're still new at this -- I'm on my best behavior" side.

3. Be 21. You should be able to drink at your own wedding for goodness sake.

4. If you have to hide it from your parents -- you're probably too young or not mature enough.

5. Just because you are in love, or have been dating a long time, doesn't mean you're ready for marriage. Marriage is a serious commitment that takes a lot of work. Just a few things you have to pay for all on your own::
-insurance
-rent
-utilities
-car payments
-cable/internet
-cell phone
-FOOD!!
-entertainment...all that date money is now used on more important things.
those add up to alot of money...

6. Have a plan. You need to be in sync with your partner and know what they have planned for the future, making sure it matches.

That's all I have for now.. Just my opinions =)
And congratulations Elise and David...

The beautiful ring on the hand of Elise Nicole =)
