I had a major shock this weekend.
I am a planner. I plan everything that is important. Always.
If you've read this blog at all, you now that I am all set and have my grand plan ready to go for P.A. school.
I was going to apply to 4 schools (all Nova Southeastern) because they only required me to have 90 credit hours and not a bachelors degree.
This weekend, my friend Tina and I went to the Open House over at the SW campus of Nova. We were told that we are now required a bachelor's degree before matriculation. SAY WHAT NOW!?!?!?!?!?!
Needless to say, in true Bethany form, I absolutely freaked out.
My mom, being the FABULOUS mom that she is, assured me that everything would work out fine and it would all be okay in time. She always knows what to say. :)
Anyways, I met with my adviser this morning and luckily I only needed 5 extra classes to get my bachelors (because I had already done 2 years at UCF). Of course this means that I will have to take 2 very full semesters, but it's definitely do-able. Even though I will have to work crazy hard, I will feel better knowing that I have a bachelor's degree when I graduate even if I do not get into P.A. school. Also, I am able to apply to far more schools now for a better chance of getting in.
I'm in for a busy year.
I know you'll do great!!!
